Treatment Approach
My treatment approach integrates CBT – cognitive-behavioral interventions (understanding how thoughts influence feelings and behavior) with mindfulness-based CBT (using journaling, guided meditation, grounding techniques) and EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitization & Reprocessing). EMDR facilitates the accessing and processing of disturbing memories to bring these to an adaptive resolution. Clients strengths and developing healthy copings strategies are emphasized. My style is kind and generous.
